| TOURS FOR THE PUBLIC
The FREE tour is offered at least once an hour and up to four times an hour depending on how busy we are. The FREE tour takes about 12 minutes. You may not see us making pretzels. The dough is sensitive to heat and humidity. Our factory is not air conditioned. If you mind the heat, early in the day is the best time to visit us. This is not a walking tour. Everything happens in one room. You stand on a platform that overlooks the room where we make pretzels. We explain the process and then give everyone a piece of pretzel dough and teach them how to make a pretzel. There is no sanitary way to process the pretzel, so the dough is thrown out when you are finished. We always give the last tour at 3:00 because we are done twisting for the day. The pretzels need to be dried in the ovens before we can pack them. We do not allow filming of the pretzel factory, but you may take pictures of each other twisting a pretzel.
